Francophobia

NOUN: A person who dislikes or fears France, its people, or its culture. Now I well understand how you could dislike the French, but fear, really they need to get over themselves! One day I will set forth my claim that everything that is wrong today on the international scene is France's fault, but until then check out this Google result. Please click through the alternate suggestion.

Other than Librarians, Journalist

are professional information finders. So I find thier portals are great places to start to find info on the web. "Navigator is the home page used by the newsroom of The New York Times for forays into the Web." Designed for reporters and editors, this selective list provides briefly annotated links and is updated frequently. Covers areas such as search engines, sites with materials for journalists, reference sources, telephone directories, online publications, politics, New York, commerce, entertainment, and sports. Requires free registration. NYT CyberNavigator

A Great Reference Library

If you want to have a great reference shelf, you don't have to look any longer. It's Bartleby.com, and it has most everything you'll ever need. My favorite is the grande generalist work, The Dictionary of Cultural Literacy.

Who owns what

I have found it useful sometimes to find out "who" is talking when I read things in the paper, or see something on TV. Columbia Journalism Review has the perfect tool, they have collected a who owns who in the media world, and most of it can be tracked back to eight major sources. The list is maintained by Aaron Moore, Ph.D., a publishing/ media writer and a professor of sports media at Ithaca College.

More RSS Feeds...

Ok, I think I fixed my RSS template issues. I'm going to start trying to post more regularly. I have Started using w.blogger, let's hope it will make the writting process easier (so far, so good). Have I mentioned I really like my aggregrator, NewsGator. And last but not least, the site that posted my blog, even before I have really started blogging, LISfeeds. LISfeeds posted my blog and now Technorati is tracking me, and my stats SUCK! oh well. Maybe if I actually post more that will change.
